The fruiting body of Agaricus bisporus is medium large, the pileus is 5-12 cm wide, hemispherical at the beginning, flat at the end, white, smooth, slightly dry and gradually yellow, the margin is incurled at the beginning. The flesh of the fungus is white, thick, slightly reddish after injury, with the peculiar smell of mushroom. Pleat pink, brown to black brown, dense, narrow, free, unequal in length, stalk 4.5-9 cm, thick 1.5-3.5 cm, white, smooth, with mercerized, nearly cylindrical, soft or medium solid inside, ring monolayer, white, membranous, in the middle of the stalk, easy to fall off.
Agaricus bisporus is mostly found in grass, pasture and compost in spring, summer and fall. The wild resources of Agaricus bisporus are mainly distributed in Europe, North America, North Africa, Australia and other places, and in China, mainly distributed in Xinjiang, Sichuan, Tibet and other places.
Agaricus bisporus is edible and delicious. It is a kind of edible fungus with large cultivation scale and wide cultivation range.
