Dictyophora mays, Dictyophora tutus, Dictyophora acanthophora and Dictyophora rubra are species of crypto-fungi that live on the roots of dried bamboo. They are shaped somewhat like a network of dry white snakeskin. They have dark green caps, snow-white cylindrical stalks, and pink egg-shaped stalks. It is called "snow fairy", "flower of mountain treasure", "flower of fungus" and "Queen of bacteria".

Young Basidiomycetes of Dictyophora are round, with three layers of coating, the outer coating is thin, smooth, grayish white or light maroon; Intermediate gel; The inner coating is tough and fleshy. When mature, the coat was dehiscence, the fungus stalk pushed the fungus cap out, the stalk was hollow, 15cm ~ 20cm high, white, and the appearance was composed of spongy holes. The coating was left on the lower part of the stalk to form a fungus deposit; The cover was bell-shaped at the top of the stalk, the cover surface was uneven and grid, and the concave part was densely covered with basidia; There is a white reticular curtain under the cover, drooping like a skirt, more than 8 cm long; Spores are smooth, transparent, oval, 3 to 3.5×1.5 to 2 microns.
